Key functions

Elaboration of algorithm and calculation software of steadystate regimes in 110 kV and above voltage networks, taking into account the existence of transmission lines of direct current and distributed parameters.

Monthly calculation of RA Electric Power System (EPS) 110220kV network steadystate regimes, losses and balances via Automated System of Commercial Accounting of Electrical Energy (ASCAEE) active and reactive powers and time schedules of basic node voltage taking into consideration time commutations of network elements.

Structural analysis of steadystate regime, in the result of which loss is distributed between sources and consumers, as well as supply share of each consumer from any source is determined.

Analysis of calculation outputs of steadystate regimes of RA EPS 110220kV network (combination of calculated and actual values) using graphical display software.

Development of mathematical model and software for investigating transient processes in distribution networks, which allow modeling dynamic processes upon external disturbances, as well as viewing time schedules of voltage, current, active and reactive powers, flows and electric machines parameters in any node and section on investigated figure.

Development of mathematical model and software for studying stationary points and transient processes of autonomous asynchronous generator, which allow investigating static stability of stationary points, as well as modeling dynamic processes upon different external disturbances.

Study of transient processes in distributing networks in case of nonsymmetric disturbances (short circuits, breaks of transmission lines, existence of nonsymmetric loads).

Calculation of nonsymmetric regimes by the method of symmetric components in 0.38 kV networks.

Calculation and analysis of hydraulic regimes, losses and balances in gastransport networks of high, medium and low pressure.

Implemented functions upon different scenarios for integrating RA EPS with regional EPS by using PSS/E software package of Siemens Company are the followings:

Calculation of symmetrical and asymmetrical steadystate regimes,

Optimal control of steadystate regimes,

Calculation of emergency regimes through N1 criteria,

Calculation of symmetrical and asymmetrical shortcircuit currents,

Calculation of static and dynamic stability.
Except the last functions, the rests are carried out via software developed by the Institute.
